Custom Industrial Enclosures & Housings
Machined-from-solid and fabricated enclosures, housings, and panels held to tight tolerances — where fit, sealing, shielding, and finish all have to be right.
A custom enclosure is more than a box. It protects electronics from dust, water, vibration, heat, and electromagnetic interference — and it has to mate cleanly with connectors, gaskets, mounting points, and the boards inside. We machine custom industrial enclosures and housings from solid stock so every sealing surface, bore, and mounting feature lands exactly where the print says it should.
Enclosures we machine
Most of our enclosure work is precision-machined from aluminum billet or plate — the right approach when tolerances, EMI integrity, or a premium finish matter more than the lowest possible piece price. We also machine lids, bezels, mounting panels, and internal chassis components so the whole assembly comes from one accountable source.
- Sealed / IP-rated enclosures with gasket grooves and flat sealing faces
- EMI / RFI shielding housings with conductive-finish-ready surfaces
- Instrument, sensor, and control housings
- Lids, bezels, mounting panels, and internal chassis plates
- Heat-managing enclosures (integrated fins, cold-plate interfaces)
Why machined enclosures, not just sheet metal
Folded sheet metal is fine for simple covers. But when an enclosure has to hold a true sealing plane, a tight connector-cutout pattern, or wall thicknesses that won't warp, machining from solid is the answer. Single-setup work on our 5-axis machines lets us cut pockets, faces, and feature patterns in one operation so the geometry stays in true position instead of stacking tolerance across folds and welds.
- Tight, repeatable tolerances on connector cutouts and bore patterns
- Flat, dimensionally stable sealing surfaces for reliable gasketing
- Crisp internal pockets and bosses for boards, rails, and standoffs
- Clean cosmetic finishes (anodize and other finishing coordinated)
Materials & finishing
Aluminum is the workhorse for enclosures — light, conductive, corrosion-resistant, and beautiful when finished. See our aluminum CNC machining for alloy options. We also machine stainless and engineering plastics where the environment calls for it. Anodize (including conductive chromate-style finishes for EMI), bead blast, and passivation are coordinated through trusted partners so you receive a complete, assembly-ready housing. Tell us the sealing or shielding requirement and we'll recommend an approach.

From one housing to a production run
Whether you need a single prototype enclosure to validate fit or a repeatable electronics-grade production run, we machine in the same materials and to the same standards either way — so what you prove on the prototype is exactly what ships. Send a drawing or STEP file and we'll come back with pricing and lead time.

Frequently asked questions
Both, but our specialty is precision machining enclosures and housings from solid aluminum billet or plate — the right choice when sealing surfaces, EMI integrity, connector-cutout accuracy, or finish quality matter. We can also machine lids, panels, and internal chassis components for the complete assembly.
Yes. We machine flat, dimensionally stable sealing faces and gasket grooves for sealed, IP-rated designs, and we coordinate conductive finishes for EMI/RFI shielding. Tell us the environment and target sealing rating and we'll recommend an approach.
We hold tight tolerances to print. Machining enclosure features from solid — often in a single 5-axis setup — keeps connector cutouts and mounting-bore patterns in true position rather than stacking tolerance across folds and welds. Send your drawing and we'll confirm what's achievable for your part.
Yes. We machine a single prototype enclosure to validate fit, then run repeatable production in the same material and to the same standards. We regularly do high-mix, low-volume work as well as production runs.
Send us the hard one.
Upload your drawing or STEP file and we'll come back with pricing and lead time — from a single high-mix part to full production runs, held to exacting tolerances.
